Christmas at Chestnut Tree House

From creating magical memories, to helping families through some of their toughest times, we need you this festive season.

SANTA! And Tommy and Family

Christmas at Chestnut

We make sure there's something for all the children we support to get involved with at the House and across Sussex and South East Hampshire. It's a magical time of the year to be together, having fun with lots of laughs.

From our spectacular Christmas lights switch on, Winter wonderland party to a special live puppet performance - there's festivities for all the family to join. We'll also have special guests joining us this December too... it's not only Father Christmas taking time out of his busy schedule to say hello, but he'll be joined by his reindeer who are taking up residence in the Chestnut Tree House gardens!

7 Christmas fundraiser ideas!

  1. Festive fancy dress: Don your finest festive get-up in return for a small donation. Christmas Jumper days are always a big hit- and easy for everyone to get involved! You could also hold a competition for the best dressed person or group.
  2. Gift wrapping station: Channel your inner Christmas Elf and help out family and friends by wrapping their Christmas gifts for them in return for a donation.
  3. Deck your desk: Perfect for schools and workplaces alike! Grab your decorations and brighten-up your area of the classroom or office with festive cheer! It’s also a great way to use up old decorations that have seen better days, and the odd scrap of wrapping paper that might otherwise have been wasted.
  4. Christmas crafting: Who doesn’t love a handmade gift? Why not spend an afternoon crafting your own Christmas cards, making a wreath or decorating baubles? It’s a great activity for all skill levels and everyone has fun! You can sell your items to raise money or ask for donations to take part.
  5. Host your own Winter Olympics: Curling, the luge, ice hockey are all firm Winter Olympic favourites, and might seem a bit inaccessible to recreate in a school playground, or in a workplace, however there’s some amazing ideas to put together your own table top versions of these winter faves. Or, you could hold a festive prance around the school field dressed as reindeer, or have a fun day out to your nearest ice rink.
  6. Chritmassy cake sale: Ask everyone to bring in their favourite festive bake and sell them for a small fee. It’s a great way to get people in the festive spirit, and it’s a delicious way to raise money.
  7. Merry movie marathon: Select some firm nostalgic favourites and charge a small fee for admission to your Christmassy-cinema. (You could also combine with your cinema with a bake sale too – to create a magical wintery evening munching on festive bakes and watching films!)
